Our first collection is a party.
100% organic cotton, cut and sewn in Portugal, and built to survive the party: the birthday, the dressing up, and the long afternoon after. In the shop now.
Follow the making.
From the first photographs of the first pieces to the small things in between — it all goes up first on @themaison.collective.
Our first collection, made to be lived in
100% organic cotton, in sizes 2 to 12, cut and sewn in small workshops in Portugal. The first pieces are in the shop now, and the rest of the collection follows.
Three things we never compromise on
Every piece is made from natural fibres, sewn in Portugal, and built to be worn hard — then passed on. Made for parents who'd rather buy three things that last than thirty that don't.
Natural, organic fibres
Organic cotton and natural fibres, chosen to feel soft against young skin.
Made in Portugal
Cut and sewn in small family workshops in Portugal, inside the EU, never far from the people who make them.
Built to be passed on
Made to survive playgrounds, puddles and little siblings. Not a single season.
Clothes children forget they're wearing.
The Maison Collective began with a simple frustration: beautiful children's clothes that children didn't want to wear. So we made ours the other way round — soft, hard-wearing and comfortable enough to run, climb and roll in.
Questions parents ask us
The things people ask us most, and the honest answers.
What ages do you make for?
We make for ages 1 to 16. Our first collection comes in sizes 2 to 12, cut with room to grow.
What are the clothes made from?
Organic cotton and natural fibres, chosen for softness against young skin and for how they hold up to everyday wear. More on what goes into each piece, and how to care for it, in Materials & Care.
Where are they made?
In Portugal, in small workshops we work with directly. Cutting, sewing and finishing all happen close to the people who do it.
When can I buy?
The first pieces are in the shop now, in sizes 2 to 12, and the rest of the collection follows.
How is it different from the high street?
The high street makes a lot of clothes quickly, usually from blends. We make a small number from organic cotton and natural fibres, cut and sewn in small workshops in Portugal, so a piece can be worn hard and then passed on.
How should I wash them?
Cool wash, inside out, and line dry where you can. Organic cotton keeps its shape and its colour that way, and the full care notes are in Materials & Care.
